Evaporative Cooling

An evaporative cooler is a device that cools the air through the evaporation of water.  Typically, a unit is installed on the roof of a building and ducted throughout the ceiling space.  Outside air is brought in through the cooler and passes across watered pads and into the conditioned space.  The main advantages of an evaporative system are;

  • Windows can remain open during use
  • Fresh air continually passes through the space
  • Very energy efficient

Evaporative systems can also come in a portable option, and a through the wall system for a specific room.
